Event Description:

East Bay Chamber of Commerce presents "Rhode Island's Got Talent" show on August 15th, 2009 at the Barrington High School, hosted by Charlie Hall of Ocean State Follies.  Joining him on the judges panel are Francisco Noya, Shawn Tempesta and Al Gomes. 

  Francisco Noya has served as Resident Conductor of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra for twelve seasons.  As Resident Conductor, he presents pre-concert talks and serves as “cover” conductor for all Classical Series concerts.  He is a prominent figure in the Boston and New England music scene and has appeared as guest conductor with orchestras in Brazil, Venezuela, Austria, the Czech Republic, Spain, Russia and Italy. 

 

Shawn Tempesta is a co-host of “The Rhode Show” on FOX Providence.  He began in television and radio as an 8 year old at a public access station.  His first television endeavor was a program called “The Show.”  In addition to co-hosting “The Rhode Show”, Shawn can also be heard on the air at Mix 98-5 in Boston, MA and Fun 107 in Fairhaven, MA.  He’s also worked New England Cable News, Mix 94.1 in Las Vegas, NV and FOX Sports Net.

 

Producer Al Gomes has been in the music business for over 30 years.  Al is the founder of Big Noise, an international artist development and music production firm that has overseen the release of more than 300 recordings.  His clients include Christina Aguilera, Katharine McPhee, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chicago, Jay Geils, Paul Doucette from Matchbox 20, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Little Anthony and the Imperials, and actor/directors Andrew McCarthy and Tiffani Theissen.  Al’s work has earned him gold and platinum awards from the Recording Industry Association of America and he sits on two Grammy Award Committees for Best Album Package and Best Box Set.

 

The Judges scores will be tabulated by Mark G. DeVine, CPA of DeVine & Associates, LLC.

This is a family friendly evening of entertainment designed to bring community members together while supporting the local economy.

Advanced price for admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children under 10 years of age. Click "register" in the box to the right to buy tickets online. A $1 fee will be assessed per order if you chose to have them mailed. Tickets are also available at the Chamber office at 16 Cutler Street, Suite 102 in Warren. Office hours are Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30.

Tickets purchased at the door will be $12 for adults and $8 for children under 10.

The show begins at 7 pm and ends at 10. Concession stands will be available outside of the auditorium.
