The East Bay Young Professionals (EBYP) is a social group of the East Bay Chamber of Commerce. The EBYP aims to create business and social opportunities, support professional development and welcome new and existing young professionals to the East Bay, Rhode Island community. 
EBYP supports hundreds of young professionals as they expand their contact base, develop professional skills, promote themselves and their business and gain access to community leaders in relaxed settings. Providing young professionals who live and/or work in the East Bay, Rhode Island, area with opportunities to network with with other talented and driven individuals is an important goal of our organization. Spotlight on Jennifer Bergeron, Senior Sales Agent at Comparion Insurance Agency

​​At the East Bay Chamber, our Member Ambassadors are the friendly faces who go above and beyond to make new members feel welcome and engaged!  ​They’re the ones reaching out to new members through our Buddy Program, attending Ribbon Cuttings to celebrate business milestones, and making monthly outreach calls to connect with members. Ambassadors are champions of our Chamber’s mission — building relationships, fostering engagement, and helping members maximize the value of their membership.

Q: What is your professional background? 

 I am a Senior Sales Agent with Comparion Insurance Agency, a Liberty Mutual company established in 2022. I have 37 years' experience with Liberty Mutual in roles ranging from file processor and administrative assistant to customer service representative and supervisory lead service specialist.

I am a two-time Customer Service Representative of the Year (2004, 2007) and was inducted into the Distinguished Service Club in 2010.

I specialize in personal lines—auto, homeowners, rental properties, life, umbrella, watercraft, and recreational vehicles—and have recently begun offering small commercial auto insurance. 

 Q: Why be an Ambassador? 

As a Chamber Ambassador, I serve as a bridge between the Chamber and the local business community. I chose this role to support economic growth, build strong professional relationships, and help new and existing members feel welcomed and engaged.

​Beyond representing the Chamber at events, I focus on creating meaningful connections, promoting local businesses, and contributing to a vibrant community. I take pride in strengthening collaborations, increasing visibility for Chamber initiatives, and encouraging active member participation. 

I love connecting businesses with other businesses—or consumers with the right business. I tell all my clients that I’m their one-stop shop: if they need a referral, I have a toolbox ready to find the service or company they need. 

Q: What is a fun fact about you? 

 Outside of work, I cherish time with family—especially my daughter, nieces, and nephews. I have two dogs I love taking on walks and drives.  I enjoy the outdoors especially the beach and fishing.  I enjoy live music and theatre and am a passionate supporter of New England teams: the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots, and Celtics.
