RI DLT Business Workforce Center The Workforce Development Services Division is the single point of contact in Rhode Island for employment, workforce information and education and training services. Workforce Development Services oversees all programs that guide jobseekers to suitable employment and facilitates the connection between employers and qualified workers. Research Institute for Telecommunications & Information Marketing RITIM conducts research on the marketing, behavioral, organizational, and strategic aspects of the telecommunications and information technology industries. RITIM is based in the College of Business Administration at URI. CommerceRI Dedicated to stimulating economic growth in Rhode Island, the Commerce Corporation is a customer service-focused agency that invests in Rhode Island’s businesses. By helping to navigate the public sector, providing financing vehicles, deploying state incentives, and investing in networking opportunities, the Commerce Corporation is in the business of business. RI Small Business Development Center Through a unique partnership with the Federal and State government, Manuel Battle, Providence Center Director of the RI SBDC, meets with clients at the East Bay Chamber office on Thursday mornings. The RI SBDC delivers free services to small businesses and entrepreneurs, including business planning, access to capital, and business operations. SCORE Counseling Rhode Island SCORE is one of the 364 Chapters of the national SCORE organization that operate under the auspices of the SBA. The RI team consists of more than 39 seasoned business counselors, from various industries. SCORE Counselors are available to meet with you in the East Bay Chamber office by appointment. Call 401-245-0750 to schedule your session. U.S. Small Business Administration - RI District The SBA works with a number of local partners to counsel, mentor, and train small businesses. Center for Women and Enterprise The CWE provides opportunities for women entrepreneurs and women in business to increase professional success, personal growth, and financial Independence. RI Procurement and Technical Assistance Center The Rhode Island Procurement and Technical Assistance Program (RI PTAC) provides a variety of contracting technical assistance services to Rhode Island based businesses of all sizes to help them to navigate the complexities of contracting with federal agencies, state purchasing departments, and local government municipalities. U.S. Chamber of Commerce Members of the East Bay Chamber are also members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Take advantage of discounts and savings, as well as news and information vital to the success of your business. RI Division of Taxation From filing tax returns, to information about tax credits and incentives, the RI Division of Taxation can help. Polaris MEP Polaris MEP, a division of the URI Research Foundation and funded by NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology) guides RI manufacturers to sustainable growth, innovative technology strategies and cost efficient operations. Social Security Resource Center The Social Security Administration will be able to assist you with any questions you may have regarding your benefits, replacement of a social security card, obtaining your statement, eligibility qualifications, estimating future benefits, supplemental security income benefits or other services and questions you may have. Tech Force Rhode Island Tech Force Rhode Island provides customized, industry-led training to Rhode Island career seekers and connects Rhode Island employers with in-demand, credentialed tech talent. RWU Business Partnerships Center The Center promotes and supports business expansion, development and entrepreneurship in the area while providing meaningful experiential, project-based learning opportunities for RWU students across a multitude of disciplines and majors. |
