The League of Women Voters of RI; East Bay Chamber of Commerce; East Bay Newspapers; and Full Channel present the Bristol Candidate Forums.
The Bristol Candidate Forums will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Bristol State House, 240 High St. The debates will be viewable on Full Channel 16 live; and until Nov. 8 at 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. Participating candidates include: State Senate District 10: Walter Felag, Jr., D; and Jarrod Hazard, I District 11: James Seveney, D; and John Pagliarini, Jr. R District 32: Cynthia Coyne, D; and James Kazounis, R State Representative District 68: Kenneth Marshall, D; and William Hunt, Jr., L District 69: Susan Donovan, D; Antonio Avila, R; and Analee Berretto, L Bristol-Warren School Committee Brian Bradshaw, Andrew Benn, Dessie Wainwright, Marjorie McBride, Lisa Labollita and Adam Ramos Kindly note that all candidates may greet audience members and distribute campaign materials in the lobby starting at 6:30 PM. The East Bay Chamber of Commerce will provide refreshments. There will be no campaign materials allowed in the Town Council Chamber. The forum questions will be submitted by the audience, by the candidates themselves, and by the co-sponsors. The questions will be written on small index cards and placed in boxes. There are two boxes: one for state office questions and one for Town Council questions. These questions will be screened by the LWVRI to assure that all are concisely stated, non-redundant, and issue-oriented. The Moderator will choose the questions to ask.
